Conference of Presidents’ Membership Hits All-Time High With 62 Organizations United
Italian American organizations from around the country are heeding the call championed by COPOMIAO President Basil M. Russo: by uniting together, the Conference of Presidents, in part, commands the respect and international recognition that’s oftentimes impossible to achieve on an individual basis.
In the past two years alone, COPOMIAO leaders have been afforded rare access to the President of the United States and the Pontiff of the Catholic Church. At Russo’s request, First Lady Jill Biden graciously hosted an Italian American Heritage Month reception in October at the White House, welcoming a delegation of IA leaders from around the country. The occasion was a watershed moment for our community, as such an event had never been held, under any administration, at the White House.
At COPOMIAO’s Year-End Meeting, held on Dec. 30, we are proud to announce that eight new member organizations joined, including:
Dante Club – Sacramento
Delaware Italian American Foundation
Louisiana Italian American Political Action Committee
Pirandello Lyceum
San Francisco Italian Athletic Club
Societa da Vinci
Ulster County Italian American Foundation
WLPO (World’s Leading Personalities Org.)
2024: Empowering Younger Generations and Building Influence in Hollywood
The Italian American Future Leaders (IAFL) Conference is 10 days away! This year, more than 200 attendees, leaders and mentors will come together in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to engage in two days of think tank-style analysis and discussion, VIP events and team-building activities.
Then, on Jan. 18, dozens of COPOMIAO presidents will attend a Hollywood gala, hosted by the Russo Brothers at AGBO Studios, that will honor Italian American contributions to film and TV.
More updates are coming soon on our young leaders and peers in Hollywood.
